Forgive the punny title … It has been brought to my attention that some considerable time has passed since I last updated this blog.  This after clearly stating that I would be updating it regularly.  My excuse is as follows:  Blogging is a little like going to the gym.  When you’re doing it a lot, it’s easy to do it lots.  When you get out of the habit …  Anyway …  What am I doing?  Well, I’m back and fore (forth?) to the lake district, filming a new series for the BBC with Steve Coogan, directed by Michael Winterbottom.  It’s the first time we’ve worked together since A Cock and Bull Story in 2005 and very enjoyable indeed.  I don’t know if anyone’s ever made this observation before, but …  The lake district is beautiful.  We all woke on Wednesday to a blanket of snow.  There you go, you get what you pay for with hotels I suppose.
